Barack Obama Won!
After a very long campaign and a record voter turnout, Barack Obama was elected President!
Do you think this will change the state of the country?

I'm a little nervous, but whoever wins, it's cool. :)
@ClockworkBunny - Obama already won.
*cheers for obama*

ah! D: it's not there!
but that's pretty cool (:
there go mccains chances
@Kwazy_Fweak - heh, why do u care then?
@dan - what happens in america, is important to canadians.
have you SEEN our past election?
it was BORING.
@Kwazy_Fweak - Nope. Does your election process not drag out for 2 years? I'm glad it's finally over!
@dan - Polls haven't closed yet in half the country. It seems kind of irresponsible to say he's already won, which might discourage people who haven't voted yet from voting. Why would you say that?
I voted McCain though I doubt his chances.
I'm just hoping the U.S. doesn't start resemble Illinois. Of course our problems are not Obama's fault, but since he's been in office and in our State Gov't, some things have gotten worse.
For example, our unemployment rate is among the highest in the nation (6.9%), Chicago has the most murders this year of any U.S. city, and Illinois is currently one of the worst states for social services funding (link). Also, Chicago has the highest sales tax in the country (10.25%).
Again, this is the State which Obama has worked for and is representing, though I definitely don't place the blame squarely on his shoulders. However, he claims a history of change, and I honestly haven't seen it in Illionois. :(
yeah, obama will probably win...shame. i was really rooting for mccain.
@pedrothepoet - Wouldn't Mayor Daley be the one responsible for the rise of the murder rate in Chicago?
@snoochface - The odds of someone reading my blog and deciding not to go vote seems infinitisimally small...
I've read your blog, and have retroactively decided not to vote.
WOOHOO!!!!!
@dan - You're right. I'd say the same thing to anyone though, regardless of traffic.
@dan - @ClockworkBunny - lol. good going dan.
